Freijda Cronin MA Intern, Agency Affiliated Counselor

The environments we grow up in, the relationships we form, and the experiences we carry all shape how we see ourselves and move through the world. Because of this, I take a holistic, person-centered approach to counseling, one that honors your full story and supports healing in a way that feels compassionate, collaborative, and empowering.

Teens and young adults often feel intense pressure, academically, socially, and internally. As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, my role is to create a space where you can slow down, make sense of your experiences, and learn how to respond to your emotions rather than feel controlled by them. Together, we build insight, coping skills, and self-compassion in ways that feel practical and sustainable.

I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, I am excited to incorporate EMDR into sessions beginning this summer.

I specialize in working with teens and young adults who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and the foster system.
