Existing in your body doesn’t feel good. You’re fighting chronic overwhelm. You’re stuck in
patterns of behavior that you don’t like but can’t seem to break out of (they might be all that gets
you through the day). When weeks turn into months (or years) spent mainly in survival mode,
the hope for clarity, purpose, and joy can start to feel out of reach. I want you to know that a life
where you feel better and function better is not a pipe dream–it is within your reach. In fact, it’s
your birthright.
In my practice, I work with adults and teens facing trauma, mood disorders, and OCD. I draw on
tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure
and Response Prevention to help you rediscover your center and ride the waves of symptoms
as they come. As we practice these skills in session, we will also uncover your deep knowing
and capacity for self-compassion. These are your inner resources; they fuel our work together
and will be sources of strength you can always return to.
Therapy is a journey of collaboration. While there will be sessions that feel hard, they should
never leave you feeling undone. As your counselor, I’m committed to building trust and moving
at a pace that feels sustainable for you. I hope you will come as you are, because what works
for you is simply what works. In that spirit, I will check in often to ensure our work is aligned with
where you need to go next. If this resonates, I’d love to hear from you!
